How to get there

We can arrange for you to be picked up from Tarapoto airport or from wherever you want in Tarapoto. It is a matter of coordination. The drive takes approximately 1.30 hours.


Crossing the Huallaga River on a raft (a form of ferry)

At about halfway, you’ll have to cross the impressive Huallaga River. This is done on a raft. The car drives onto the raft easily, and during the crossing you can enjoy a unique view of the Cordillera Azul Reserve.


Arriving at the Blue Lagoon

Our boat will be waiting for you at the Port of Sauce to cross the Blue Lagoon to the ECOPARK LA SOÑADA. This is where the Casas Capirona are located.


Finally we are here!

You disembark at the Muelle Irene (Pier Irene) of the ECOPARK LA SOÑADA and we accompany you until you settle in your home.

There is wildlife here, and Casas Capirona (Capirona Holiday Homes) are located on the shores of the Blue Lagoon and framed by jungle, so you can see the cute sloths, insects of all kinds, brightly-coloured butterflies, tropical birds, fireflies, fish, armadillos and reptiles. There is also an enormous diversity of plants of all kinds as well as a variety of fungi. The rainforest is their habitat and we are entering their space, so let's respect it! This will without doubt add to the charm of your experience.

Flipflops to enter the lagoon and hiking shoes to enter the rainforest.

YOUR SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY

At Sauce we have a General Practitioner (GP) to tend to our guests with basic health problems. To guarantee your health and safety, the protocols we follow at Casas Capirona are based on current official guidelines issued by the Peruvian authorities. These protocols are implemented in all procedures and services offered. You must send a photocopy of the Covid test issued by the health authorities of your country 24 hours before departure, so that we can re-confirm your reservation. We do this for you and for our staff.


ADMINISTRATION AND STAFF

Our team has been trained in accordance with the official procedures for hotel accommodation within the framework of the Pandemic, which is readjusted frequently, depending on the government's indications. We have implemented all appropriate safety measures such as gloves and masks and will continue to comply with hygiene guidelines such as social distancing and regular disinfection.


CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

The process is fast, secure, and always in accordance with the General Personal Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). CHECK-IN is at 2:00 pm and CHECK-OUT is before 11:00 am. In case you arrive/leave outside these times, please let us know.


CANCELLATION POLICY

You will receive a full refund provided you cancel within 48 hours of booking, and at least 14 days before the start of your stay.
Full refund for cancellations will be made up to 30 days prior to arrival.
If you book less than 30 days before arrival, you will get a 50% refund if you cancel up to 7 days before arrival.
If you cancel less than 7 days before arrival, you will not receive a refund.
But don't worry, because whatever you don't get back will be considered as credit towards your next booking.


CLEANING SERVICES

To ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, the Capirona Holiday Homes are thoroughly cleaned before each new arrival, and Covid protocols are taken into consideration. During your stay, if you prefer us to do the cleaning and/or cooking for your Capirona Holiday Home, this service will have an additional cost. We will recommend people we know and trust and who have been trained by us.

The common areas of ECOPARK LA SOÑADA are cleaned and disinfected regularly and efficiently every day.


FOOD AND DRINK

The Casas Capirona have each their own kitchen.
The Tambo Ayahuasca has some basic sanitary products and foodstuffs.
Food can be purchased in Sauce, or you can ask for it to be delivered on arrival at the Casas Capirona.
We can also provide special breakfasts and lunches at ‘El Jardín’ Restaurant, located in one of the gardens of the ECOPARK LA SOÑADA. It is important to request this service in advance, preferably before arriving at Casas Capirona.


SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES

We recommend our guests to comply with the social distancing rules of 1.5 metres between groups, except for escorts and families, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the authorities.
To minimise the risk of infection, all documentation will be sent to guests by email or via our App.
In order to provide a safe environment for all guests, entry is only permitted to those staying at Casas Capirona.
We also kindly recommend using credit or debit cards for transactions and avoid paying with cash.
